The goal:

happy horses and riders!

When there are problems, there are usually several reasons. Frequently it is an unfortunate combination of self-doubt, insecurity, anxiety (for example, after a traumatic experience with the horse) or even the rider’s frustration  coupled with actions which the horse does not understand.

In my work, depending on the constellation and needs, I start in two places. Since horses are flight animals and perceive the finest emotions in humans, it can make a significant difference if one’s own mental blocks and negative patterns of behaviour are resolved before starting to work with the horse. For achieving this, hypnosis is a wonderful tool and so is practicing mindfulness whilst training your horse.

In my training with successful horse trainers at home and abroad, I have learned many practical tricks to communicate with horses and to overcome hurdles. Such challenges include, for example, loading, clipping, mounting the horse, catching the horse on the pasture, snapping, jostling or overtaking, kicking, fear of objects, noise and various situations etc.

Violence, aggression and hustle and bustle have no place in my philosophy of how to deal with animals. They are both unnecessary and motivational killers.

I’ve been riding for over four decades and mostly enjoy dressage riding and hacking. In training horses from the ground I have learned a lot from the following trainers:

The horse training can take place at your place provided there is a suitable infrastructure or in a facility in the Zurich Oberland.
